Hobby Lobby offers a 40% off coupon. On furniture and fabric, the items have two prices.

One is the regular every day price, and the other is the made up never sold for price. Nevertheless, the discount is taken off the made up never sold for price. This makes the supposed 40% discount more like less than a 15% discount. Has anyone else experienced this situation?

I believe Hobby Lobby entered an agreement with the state of New York to stop this deceptive practice, but it is still happening in my state. Is anyone in New York still experiencing this problem? Has the practice now been limited to states that have not enforced laws similar to those in the state of New York?

I look forward to hearing how this company is continuing its operations in other states.A national class action has been filed in Alabama, but the practice seems to persist.

Review about: Hobby Lobby Coupon.

Reason of review: Not as described.

Monetary Loss: $115.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

The furniture at Hobby Lobby is reasonably priced.I saw a few hall trees there for less than 200$ whereas At Home had a similar one for 349$.

And the "made up" price that you keep referring to is the suggested retail price.

That is the price that you will see most other stores sell their furniture for.Coupons can be applied but only on the original price and not the sale price.

Furniture you buy at Hobby Lobby is always marked at a 30% discount, you have the regular price then you have the orange tag which is actually the 30% discount taken from the regular price. The coupon as you said can be used on furniture and fabric, you can only use the coupon on the regular price of the furniture, not from the discount they have advertised.

So you actually do get more off when the use the coupon from the regular price.

Also furniture can be expensive, so the price you see on the furniture isn't just some made up price.Hobby Lobby sells good lasting pieces of furniture for your home, so yes it is probably going to cost you a little more since It's not like cheap *** or anything.
