I am a frequent shopper at Hobby Lobby. Today was not a good day at Seneca SC Hobby Lobby.
I was shopping for inexpensive gifts for Valentines Day for children in a group home. There were 50 percent off signs just about every where with inventory notes covering parts of the signs. I spent a good bit of time choosing gifts only to get to the register to find out they were not on sale. Most gifts were from end caps that had 50 percent off but they were not 50 percent off.
This is very deceptive and annoying and very time consuming Example I chose 6 small plaques off the rack that had a sign that said 50 % off, however they were not half price because of the sticker on the back. Mixing full price items on shelves with sales signs is misleading and deceptive.One sign was on the end cap but was for merchandise around the corner. I could go on but you get the point. I expect more from a store that claims to have Christian values.
I spend a great deal of money at Hobby Lobby but today was more than I care to deal with. It will be awhile before I returnif I return

01/01/2024 - I went to Hobby lobby with my children located on Irvington , Tucson, Az today. As I was going to the fabric department there was an employee who was talking to a customer loudly stating " The store is not a mess today because all of the Aliens in the world are not here." I not only find this offensive but disgusted with your employee.
I didn't get her name or couldn't give you a description of her because I was trying leave the premises with my children immediately. It would be in your best interest to address this issue with this employee immediately. Her racist and inappropriate comments is unacceptable and reflects badly towards your company. I'm sure you have cameras in your stores and I would be happy to speak with you if you need me to regarding this situation.
I left immediately and did not want to stoop to your employees level nor do I need to expose my children to any of your employees poor choice of words at that moment. I was not comfortable bringing this issue up with your upper management because I had my children with me.

I have been shopping at hobby lobby for years. I one of those shoppers that pick a lot of things I like and when I am ready to check out I go back through my cart anddd if I really need something.
While doing so I have had employees follow me and even been kick out of the store because they don't think I have the money to pay for the items I want to get. This has happened at the Oxnard hobby lobby and the Simi valley one. Their employees and management are rude and judgemental.o999 I am now having to drive over an hour away now just to be able to go shopping at my favorite store.
Management at those two stores are disrespectful, racist, rude and very unhelpful. I recommend that the manger at both store be fired and learn how to treat customers.

I just found out from one of your employees that they are not allowed to have water at the registers or anywhere behind the counters even if it isnt visible to customers. The employee also said they are low staffed so they hardly ever get breaks so its impossible to run to the back to get water.
This means that your employees are going 7-8 hours without water on their shifts. Another employee corroborated this story by saying this is true, youre not allowed to have water at the register unless you have a doctors note. This is absolutely unacceptable. You call yourself a Christian company and this is how you treat your employees?
They should absolutely be allowed to have water with them under the counter. I can promise you, customers would NEVER complain about seeing water bottles for employees. And if theyre hidden under the counter it wouldnt even matter.
Give your employees access to water. This is ridiculous.

Disturbing information from employee
I have heard rumors that your Christian based store no longer carried Hanukkah items, where in the past I have purchased for my Jewish friends. I wanted to make sure so went to find out.
When I learned it was true I asked why. After a few moments of conversation with an employee, I-was told it was due to the war and Hobby Lobby did not want to get involved in all the drama. This was the employees words. Is drama when terrorists attack a country because of hate, killing innocent people and chopping off the heads of babies and adults just because they are Jews?
I have always shopped in your store because of your Christian stand and your beautiful items. Your business has been under Gods Blessing. If this is true, you will lose your Blessing. I will not be returning to your store for now.
I pray you will set the record straight, remembering Jesus was a Jew and you will support that. Thank you.
